Clerks who mannage the office and the Deputy Secry should
be payd their respective Sallarys.
Ordered that the said Bladen take Care and see them payd
out of Sr Thoss Fees.

Decr 7th, 1704
The Rebuilding the Stadt house now lying under Consider-
ation this house have resolved their Willingness to rebuild the
said house in as Comodious a Manner as before & accordingly
treated with Mr Bladen Concerning the Same but his Demands
being so great this house will not Concurr
Therefore it is resolved that a Comittee be appointed to
treat bargain & agree with such persons as will undertake the
said Work & accordingly have appointed Mr Saml Young Mr
Charles Greenberry Mr Joseph Hill & Mr Richd Jones Dells of
Ann All County for that purpose, And likewise that this house
pray his Exncy to appoint two of the honrble Councill to Joyne
with them & that a bill may be prepared to give them Authority
to do the same to which the Concurrence of his Exncy & Coun-

Post Meridiem. The Councill Sate Prsent as before.
Proposed that some fitting capable person be appointed
Comissary of Warr within this Province to go twice Yearly
through the Severall Countys and inspect the Arms & Amu-
nition and see they be in good order. And that such Person
take a particular Account thereof in Writing & present the
same to his Exncy that he may at all tymes know in what order
the sd Arms are & where lodged but that untill he shall be
approv'd of in England and his Sallery settled He be payed
his Travelling Charges only out of the Duty of 3d p h. for
purchasing Arms first giving good Security for the Discharge
of his Trust & office.
The Boarde do very well approve thereof but cannot pro-
pose any propper Person now obvious to their thoughts.
His Exncy is pleas'd to aske them what they thinke of Mr
Philemon Lloyd of Talbott County.
The Councill are of Opinion there cannot be a properer
Person and desire his Exncy to cofnissionate him thereto.
Came Col Smithson and ten other members from the House
with the Houses Thanks to his Exncy as fol.
