Septr 29th 1704
The Scheeme of Officers fees proposd to be retrenchd being
read At the board His Excy is pleasd to Ask the Councill
whither it be reasonable to retrench any of the said fees Who
say that the said Fees are not Greater then the Service requires.
Save the secretary's fees for An Injunction An Audita Querela
and Writt for enquirey of Damages.
Which this board Are Willing should be regulated As pro-
posed. Signd p order Wm Bladen G Councill
Which was Also read And the Consideration thereof referrd
till to morrow.

The house Met Againe According to Adjournement being
Calld over were All present as Yesterday only Coll Smithson
Brought into the house Severall Engrost bills Vizt
Bill declaring the Act intituled An Act Ascertaining the
bounds of land.
Bill for encouragemt of Tillage &ca
Bill for punishing Blasphemy and prophane Swearing
All Read And Assented to by the house of Dels
The honob Wm Holland and Iames Sanders Esqrs enters
the house And delivers the following Message.
By the Councill in Assembly Septr 29th 1704
Wee haue moovd his Excy that Whereas in the Yeare 1702
The then Assembly did Vote 300l Sterling for the Assistance
of New Yorke Which Sume was directed to be paid by the
publiq treasurers of this province to the order of that Gouern-
ment When Sent for But inasmuch as the Gouernment of
New York has not Yet thought fitt to Send for that Sume of
money Wee are induced to Suspect they haue Greater de-
signes against us And therefore desired his Excy would Ad-
mitt the said Sume should be remitted to Mr Iohn Hyde in
England ready for that Service in case the Lord Cornberry
shall require the same Otherwise that our Agent might make
