And Sent to the Councill by Mr Iames Phillips.
He returns And says he deliverd the bill.

By the house of Delegates Septr 30th 1704

Wee having Setled the Iournalls of Accounts finde therein
tob due to his Excy for the Great Seale & otherwise Wee
therefore desire to know Whither it Will be most Acceptable
to his Excy to haue the tob in Specie or Money for the same
out of the treary of this province at 1d p pound And that
Since there is money in bank And the publiq leavy like to be
very high And hard upon the poorer Sort of people Wee pro-
pose to pay the honob Councill and Delegates of this Ses-
sions Some Small parte of their 140l tob p day in Money at
Iid de if Your honors Are pleasd to concurr with us therein
Which Wee desire because its hard to procure money to bear
Expences here. Signd p order Wm Taylard Cl h D.

Which being read is sent up to the Councill by Mr Thomas
Smith.

He returnes and says he deliverd the same.
