Accounts Wee had tho never so Small & Uncertaine Suffi-
cient to Caution us to Stand upon our defence And Avert
Such Apparent prejudice to the prsent well Setled constitucon
of our Countrey And upon the conferrence Wee did propose
Not only that Money should be remitted to England but some
trusty Sencible person Sent by this Assembly to negotiate this
Affaire Which was referrd to yor Consideration but Wee finde
reject'd Therefore to what end Shou'd Wee frame Addresses
never to be presented or considerdof Which without money to
Accompany them to the persons whose sever" hands and Offices
they must pass through cann Expect No better fortune or
Countenance twas upon this Score And no other Wee refused
to Ioyn in the Address And now Assure You that Wee Wish
yor Whole house had As deep A Sence of this eminent danger
as Wee haue, for then Surely You would do what is fitting to
preserve Yor constitucon And then his Excy the Govr and this
board will never refuse heartily to Ioyne With You in this
Address or any other for the Interest & Advantage of the

The following Engrost bills brought into the house Vizt.
Bill for punishing Adultery and fornication
Bill for payment of fees from Criminalls
Read & Assented to by the house of Dels.
Bill for Admtracon of Justice in probatt of Wills
Read the Ist and 2d time and do pass.
Sent up to the Councill p Mr Thos Greenfeild Mr Wm Peirce
& Mr Wm Watts Who returne and say they deliverd the same.
The house Adjournd till 2 A Clock in the Afternoone.

Post Merediem

The house met According to Adjournmt and being calld
over were present as in the morning.
Proposd by A member whither Indians brought from other
Countrey's and Sold As Slaves here Are to be Accounted so,
Since the law is not full in that point
Resolvd they be Accounted so if sold for such which is
referrd to the Consideration of next Assembly
The honob Thomas Smithson Esqr from the Comittee of laws
enters the house and brings with him the land laws
with the lord Baltemores Exceptions And this houses Answer
to it. Which was read And orderd to be considerd of to
morrow.
Kenelm Cheseldyne & Wm Coursey Esqrs Enter the house
and delivers Mr Speaker the following message Vizt.
