Proposd Whither it be not Advisable to haue the Sermon
preachd Yesterday at first opening the Church of Annapolis
printed.
Resolvd A message be prepard And sent for that purpose

By the house of Del Sepf 25 1704

This house are Very well Sattisfyd with the well Compos'd
discourse preached by the Reverend Dr Wooten at opening
the Annapolis Church And think it highly worthy of the press
which if Your Excy does, Wee pray Yor Excy to give order for
the same. Signd p order Wm Taylard Cl h D.

Sent up to his Excy and Councill by Mr Iohn Hudson Hugh
Ecleston and Iohn lones.
They returne And Say they deliverd the same.
The house Adjourns till to morrow morning 8 A Clock.

Tuesday 26th Septr 1704.

The house mett Againe According to Adjournment And
were present as on Yesterday only Coll Dorsey Sick with A
feavour.

On his behalfe it was moovd that he may have leave to go
home Which was granted.

Severall bills brought into the house orderd to be read Vizt

Bill for punishmt of privateers and pyrats.

Read the Ist time and resolvd theres no Occasion of such
bill therefore rejected.

Bill for encouragcmt of Tillage & releife of poore Drs

Read the Ist time And Approovd of with A Clause to be
put in that the Severall Comodity's be Merchantable And
Well Securd And packt in good Caske.

Sent up to the Comittee of laws by Mr Henry Coursey; to
have Such Clause Added.

Bill for requiring Masters of Shipps to publish the rate of
freight &ca Read the Ist time.

Bill for Punishment of Adultery and fornicacon

Bill for Punishment of Blasphemy etc.

Read the Ist time.

Bill for payment of Criminalls fees.

Read the Ist & 2d time & do pass.

Bill for direction of the Sherriffs office.

Read the Ist time and doe pass.

The foregoing bills Sent up to the Councill by Mr Iohn
Hill & Mr Wm Aisquith.
