Therefore as I told you I'le make but this one tryall And
Advise you to be Civill and modest for their is noe other
way for you to live quietly here.
You are the first that have Given any disturbance to my
Government And if it were not for the hopes of Your better
demeanor you should now be the first that Shou'd feel the
Effect of soe doeing.
Pray take notice that I am an English protestant Gent And
that I can never equivocate.
This is A Coppy of What his Excy the Governr was pleasd
to say to the two popish preists upon their being presented
for Saying Mass publiqely at the Citty of St Mary's when the
County Court was sitting And for consecrating A popish

By A paper read in this house wee perceive what Your Excy
was pleasd to say to the two popish preists on the occasion
there inencond, And as All yor Actions, so this in prticuler
gives us great Sattisfaction to find you Generously Resolvd
to protect her Majtys protestant Subjects here against the
insolence and Growth of popery and wee are cheerefully
thankfull to you for it

The Seuerall Resolves of the house upon the severall
Articles of her Majts Instruccons And other proposalls laid
before this house Read in the house and sent up to his Excy
and Councill by Mr Iohn Macall and Mr Gerrard Fowlks.
