Which sd bills Were sent up to his Excy and Councill p Mr
Iohn Hamond and Mr Richard Iones.
They returne and say they deliverd the bills.
The house proceed to reading the following bills.
Bill Ascertaining the Gauge of tob hogsheads.
Bill to encourage the Inhabitants to send shipps Abroad.
Bill declaring how fees for private Acts be proportioned.
Bill prohibitting Mars of Shipps transporting prsons without
passes.
Bill prohibitting the Importacon of bread etc.
All read the 2d time and Sent up to his Excy & Councill p
Mr Iohn Leach and Mr Robt Skinner.
They returne and say they deliverd them
Iohn Addison Iohn Hamond Edward Lloyd Francis Jenkins
Iames Sanders and Kenelm Cheseldyne Esqrs enters the house
and delivers Mr Speaker A proclamation for preventing and
punishing Imorallity & prophaness.
Which was here read and orderd to be thus endors'd.

The within proclamation was here read and Approovd of
by the house who give their hearty thanks to his pious res-
olucons conteynd therein And will Concurr to our Uttmost
to promote & encourage the same.

Which proclamation and endorsment was returnd to his
Excy and Councill by Mr Thos Frisby Mr Iames Hay Mr Iohn
Gray Mr Iohn Waters Mr Iohn Maclaster Mr Iohn Iones Mr
Wm Barton and Mr Thomas Beale.

They returne and say they deliverd the same.

The house Adjournes till to morrow morning 8 A Clock.

Tuesday 19th Septr 1704.

The house met againe According to Adjournmt & being
calld over were present as Yesterday.

Read what was done Yesterday.

The Gent Members Appointed to consider New Yorke
. Affaire And the members of the house likewise Attending the
Conferrence About Selling the land records &c. are orderd to
Attend the conferrences this morning who withdrew Ac-
cordingly.

The Bill for prohibition of bread beer &c. came into the
house and upon debate made It was resolvd the same be
