Whereas M^r Alexand^r Hall a Gent who has long Servd his
Countrey and Crowne of England as an officer Abroad in the
Warrs And has the hono^r to be Marryd to A relation to his
Ex^cy the Governour therefore in Complement to his Ex^cy came
over into the province with him And Wee desire he may be
capable of Serving her Maj^ty in Some Small employment in
this province notwithstanding the Act prohibiting the same
the said M^r Hall being as Wee are credibly informed A very
honest Gent Signd p order W Bladen Cl Council

Which being read this house readily concurr therewith and
orderd the same be endorsd and returnd his Ex^cy in Councill.

Bill Ascertaining the Gage of tob hogsheads

Read the I^st time and do pass w^th Amendm^t

M^r Thomas Frisby orderd to Attend M^r Coursey a member
for Talbott County into the house.

He enters the house with the said M^r Frisby Accordingly.

Bill Quieting possessions read the I^st time & Comitted for
Amendment

Orderd that M^r Iames Smallwood M^r Tho^s Frisby and M^r
Iohn Macall and M^r Thomas Beale Attend M^r Coursey to see
him Sworne.

They returne and say they saw him Sworne & Signe the
test and Abjuration

Bill declaring fees on private Acts etc.

Bill prohibitting the importation of bread &c^a.

Bill and peticon of Dowlins to Confirme land.

Bill Appointing Court days.

Bill Ascertaining the Gauge of tob hogsheads.

They returne and say they deliverd the bills.

The Comittee of Agrievances enters the house & delivers
the reporte. orderd to be entred. vizt.

It is humbly offerrd that the exporting Iron out of this
province is A great Agreivance.

Jt is humbly offerrd as A great aggreivance to the inhabi-
tants of the back plantacons who by reason of their remote-
ness from the Water haue not the Advantage of landing places
for their Goods or Rolling houses to lay their tobacco in till
