The reporte of the Comittee appointed the 11^th Instant
touching the designe forming ag^t the constitucon of this
Government has been read at this board and its Conceived
that the Conferrees have mistaken the Subject matter of the
sd Conferrence for want of having the same in writing Which
by the houses message to this Board was to consider the
many Evills that would thereby redound both to her Maj^ts In-
terests and Welfare of this province therefore propose that
full instruccons be given them And that they meet againe on
that subject by Eight of the Clock to morrow morning.

desired.

Read what was done Yesterday

Propos'd by a member that the widdow of Coll Thompson
putts into the Comittee of Accounts for Allowance of A bond
of one Sam^ll Scotts who dyed insolvent for payment of Dutys
on Rum &c. which being referrd to this house by the Comittee
of Accounts and Read and debated

Jts Resolved that forasmuch as Coll Thompson neglected

the duty of his office in nut taking good Securely his Estate

is lyable to Answer for the same.

The peticon of Iohn Nicholls for Sale of W^m Edmondsons
land read and Resolvd it be granted and leave Given to bring
in A bill Empowring M^r Nichol^s Lowe Adm^r of the said Deed
to sell land for payment of the debt with A Clause that the
overplus if any when the debt paid be secured for the orphans
to whom the land was Given And not to be taken or deemd
Assetts in the hands of the Adm^r.

According to order of last night M^r Charles Carroll p Per-
mission enters the house & being demanded why his Lopps
Agents Exact 480^l tob for every Warrant for 100 Acres And
refuse to give patients for the land till the purchase money be
paid he Answered he has such instruccons from the Lord
