Bill directing the manner of Sueing out Attachments.

Bill declaring the baptizing of negroes not to Manumitt or
sett them free.
Read and Resolvd this bill in the very words be made A
branch in the Act relating to Servants & Slaves.
Bill for publication of All laws
Read the first time and do pass
Bill for limittation of Accons.
Read the first time and do pass
Resolved that that the latter clause limitting the time for
paymt of Obligacons in A law Entituled an Act for securing
Exrs & Admrs from double payment of debts and limitting the
time for payment of obligacons be wholly left out as Impropper
to the Utillity of this province.
Bill agt Engrossers and regraters
Read the 1st time and do pass with the alteracon made.
Mr Young Mr Leach and Mr Macall returne and say they
delivered their message.

The following peticon being brought into the house was
orderd to be read.

To the Honoble the house of Delegates.
The humble peticon of Jno Toas Gent Humbly Sheweth to
your honors that pursuant to A mocon made to the last As-
sembly by the Admrs of Danll Toas yor petrs brother for a bill
Empowring them to make Sale of the land whereof he died
Seizd The said Assembly sent A Sumons to your peticoner in
order to shew cause why the said bill should not pass That
your peticoner in obedience to the said Sumons Attended this
present Assembly since the first Sitting thereof, that true it is
that dan" Toas deed Your peticoners brother dyed intestate
Seizd of A Considerable Estate in fee simple whereby your petr
is indesputably and apparently the said Dantls heire at law And
humbly leaves it to your consideration if such an Act (if past
be not Contrary to law and Iustice And to the great prejudice
And ruine of your peticoner
May it therefore please yor honors to put A stop to the said
Act And to discharge yor petrr from further Attendance upon
the same &
As in duty bound shall ever pray &c
