& with the advice of his Majestys honble Council hereby Lib. X. Command & Direct the several & respective Officers of his Majestys Customs within this Province not to Clear or suffer any vessel to depart this Province having on Board them any store of ammunition powder Ball Arms provisions of Vic tuals or other necessarys which in any wise may be suspected to be intended to be carried to the said Bay of Cairat for the use of the said Scotch so Enforted as aforesaid & I do hereby prohibit all persons whatsoever within this Province from having any Comerce with or giving any Relief or assistance to the said Scotch as they will answer the contrary at their perill & to the End all persons may have due notice hereof & give due regard thereto I command the several Sheriffs of the respective Counties to publish this my Proclamation &ca Given under my hand & the great Seal of this his MajstYs Province this 4th day of November in the 11th year of his Majestys Reign &ca Annoq Dni 1699 N Blakiston God save the King
By his Excellency the Capt Genl A Proclamation Whereas the General Assembly of this Province were upon the 22d day of July last Prorogued until the 28th Day of Oc- p. 258 tober then next ensuing & now passed from which said twenty eight day of October they were by Proclamation further prorogued until the 9th day of February next ensuing & now forasmuch as I am advised by his Majtys honble Council that it will be necessary & requisite the said Genl Assembly should meet & sit at the Town & Port of Annapo lis in Ann Arundel County upon the 26 day of April next being Friday in order to consult advise & concert such matters & things as tend to the Glory of God the Honour & Service of his Majy & the Wellf are of this Province I do therefore further Prorogue the said General Assembly until the said 26th day of April next ensuing & command & require the several & respective Sheriffs of each & every the Respective Counties of this province that they summons & give notice as well to the several members of his Majestys honble Coun- cil residing within their Several Counties as also to the Dele- gates & Representatives of their said Counties that they Convene themselves together at the Town & Port of Anna- polis in Ann Arundel County upon the aforesaid 26th day of April now next ensuing then & there to do & Consent to such things as shall happen to be proposed Ordained & enacted for the Glory of God his Majestys Service and the
