              510 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1728.

             

         Lib. M.  ships Honourable Council publish this my Proclamation noti

                  fying the same to all his Majestys Good Subjects that in the

                  several Parish Churches and other Places of Divine Worship

                  within this Province in all the Prayers Litanies and Collects

                  for the Royal Family instead of the Words [His Royal High

                  ness George Prince of Wales the Princess and their Issue

                  and all the Royal Family] be for the future used and inserted

                  [Our Gracious Queen Caroline the Royal Issue and the rest

                  of the Royal Family] And I do strictly charge and Command

                  the several Sheriffs of this Province to make this my Procla

                  mation publick in the several Parishes within their said Coun

                  ties in the usual manner that the most publick Notice may be

                  had thereof as they will answer the Contrary at their Peril

                  Given at Annapolis this Eighteenth Day of February in the

                  fourteenth Year of His Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Do

                  minion &c Annoq Dni 1728.

                    Ordered that Benjamin Tasker Esqr purchase of Captn

                  Colvill four Dozen of Flag Stones to be laid in the Front of

                  the Foundation of the Council Room, and that he agree with

                  a Workman for the laying thereof, and that the said Benjamin

                  Tasker draw an Order upon the Treasurer of the Western

                  Shoar payable out of the Duty of the 3d p hhd for Arms &c

                  for the Payment of the same.

           p. 14  Coll Richard Tilghman produces to this Honble Board the

                  Copy of an Order of this Board's of the 27th February 1719

                  Directed to him, in the following Words.

             

             

                          By the Govr and Council

                    Ordered that Coll Richard Tilghman treat with and buy

                  several Arms that are offered to be sold by Mr Richard Ben

                  nett and Captn Pattison, and that the said Coll Tilghman

                  draw upon the publick Treasurers or either of them for the

                  money that he shall agree for, for the said Arms, And the

                  said Treasurers or either of them are hereby required to pay

                  the same upon the said Coll Tilghman's Order out of the

                  money due from them for Arms

                    On the back of which was the following Endorsement.

             

             

                    Pay unto Richard Bennett Esqr and Compy the sum of One
