508 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1728.

M. the Royal Issue and the Rest of the Royal Family] And for the better Notice hereof in Our said Province, It is Our further Will and Pleasure, that you cause the same to be forthwith published in the several Parish Churches, and other Places of Divine Worship, within the said Province, And that you take Care that Obedience be paid thereto accordingly. This Board are humbly of Opinion that the properest Method of making the said Instructions publick is by causing Proclamations to issue to the Sheriffs of the several Counties requiring them to publish the said Proclamations in the sev eral Parishes within their said Counties Ordered that Proclamation be prepared accordingly His Excellency the Governor having signifyed to this Board that he has nothing of Moment to lay before the Assembly which stands prorogued to the second Tuesday in March de sires the Opinion of this Board when is a proper Time to prorogue it to who are of Opinion that the second Thursday in July next being the 10th Day of the Same Month is the most convenient Time to prorogue them to in Order to their then meeting for the Dispatch of the Publick Business Ordered that Proclamation issue accordingly

Whereas the present General Assembly of this Province stands prorogued to the Second Tuesday in March next being the Eleventh Day of the Same Month And whereas there is no Business of Moment which requires their Attendance at that Time I have therefore thought fit with the Advice of His Lordships Council of State further to prorogue the same And I do hereby further prorogue the same to the second Thursday of July next being the tenth Day of the same Month And I do strictly charge and Command the several Sheriffs of this Province to give Notice as well to the several Members of His Lordps honble Council residing within their several Counties as also to the Representatives of their said Counties that they convene themselves together at the City of Annapolis the tenth Day of July next then and there to do and Consent to such Things as shall be proposed ordained and enacted for the Benefit of the Inhabitants of the said Province And to the Intent that all Persons concerned may
