             484 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1727.

            

             Lib. x. &c To whom we do Acknowledge all Faith and Constant

                 Obedience with all hearty and humble Affection Beseeching

                 God by whom all Kings and Queens do Reign to bless the

                 Royal King George the second with long and happy Years

                 to Reign over us

                   Given at the City of Annapolis the fourteenth day of Sep

                 tember in the first year of his Majestys Reign and the twelfth

                 year of his Lordship the Lord Proprietarys Dominion over

                 this prov5 Annoq Dni 1727

                      God save King George the Second

                                                   Geo Plater

            

                   Resolved that his Excellency issue his Proclamations to

                 the several Countys Commanding the respective Sheriffs as

                 soon as Conveniently may be to proclaim his Majesty with all

                 Solemnity possible which proclamation being read and ap

                 proved of is as follows vizt

            

                               Maryland sst

                     By his Excellency Benedict

                 Leonard Calvert Esqr Captain General

             p 199   and Lieutenant Governor &c.

                         A Proclamation

            

                   Whereas it hath pleased Almighty God to call to his mercy

                 our late Sovereign Lord King George of Blessed memory by

                 whose decease the Imperial Crowns of Great Britain France

                 and Ireland as also the Supream Dominion and Sovereign

                 right of the Province of Maryland and all other his late

                 Majestys Dominions and Territories in America are solely

                 and rightfully Come to the high and mighty Prince George

                 Prince of Wales I do therefore by and with the advice of his

                 Lordships Honourable Council within this Province Publish

                 this my Proclamation Notifying the same to all his Majestys

                 good Subjects and strictly charging and requiring the several

                 Sheriffs of the respective Counties of this Province at the

                 most publick place in their respective Counties as soon as

                 Conveniently may be with all the Solemnity possible to pro

                 claim and publish that the said high and mighty Prince George

                 Prince of Wales is now by the Death of our late Sovereign

                 of happy memory become our only lawful and rightful Liege

                 Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great

                 Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith

                 Supream Lord of the said Province of Maryland and all

                 other his late Majestys dominions and Territorys in America

                 &c To whom we do Acknowledge all faith and Constant

                 Obedience with all hearty and humble Affection with one full
