474 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1727.
Lib. x. Upon Consideration of the Letter from the President of Virginia as also the Hue and Cry under the Great Seal of that P. 173 Colony (heretofore laid before this Board by his Excellency) requesting and desiring the Governor and other Officers and Ministers of Justice within this Province to be Aiding and Assisting by their Authority to apprehend Philip Hammond William Hammond and John Howard Inhabitants of this Province for a Robbery Committed on a certain Richard Thacker in that Colony in Order to bring them to Justice in the said Colony this Board are of Opinion that a Provincial Magistrate (in prosecution of the aforesaid request) cause the said persons therein mentioned to be apprehended And thereupon it is Advised and Ordered that Philip Lee Esqr one of the Justices of the Provincial Court issue such Proper Process as to him shall seem meet in Order to Convey the said Felons in the said Hue and Cry mentioned to some one Magistrate of the Colony of Virginia there to be dealt with according to Law Charles Calvert and Benjamin Tasker Esqrs heretofore Appointed to Agree with Workmen to Prop and Support the Floor of the Council Chamber laid before this Board the Ir reparable State and Condition of the same Thereupon it is Ordered that the said Charles Calvert and Benjamin Tasker Esqrs do agree with John Smith Carpenter to new Floor the same according to such proposalls as shall be delivered to them by the said Smith and Approved of by the said Charles Calvert and Benjamin Tasker for which he the said Smith is to be paid Twenty Six pounds Current Money
