with according to Law Given under my hand and the seal Lib. X. of the Colony aforesaid this twenty fourth day of June in the thirteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George [Seal] Robert Carter
His Excellency desired the Opinion of this Board what is most Expedient to be done therein who desired some time to Consider thereof
At a Council held at the Council Chamber on Wednesday the 12th of July 1727 Present as yesterday His Excellency acquaints this Board that his Lordship had Commanded him to Appoint Charles Calvert Esqr a Member of this Board Whereupon the said Charles Calvert takes the Oaths appointed by Act of Assembly of this Province sub- 172 scribed the Oath of Abjuration and Test and likewise took the Oath of a Councillor and takes his place at the Board Accordingly Resolved and Ordered that the floor of the Council Cham ber be prop'd and supported in such manner as shall be thought necessary by Charles Calvert and Benjamin Tasker Esqrs who are appointed by this Board to treat with workmen for the doing thereof and that they likewise Agree with a Painter to paint the doors and Windows of the said Council Chamber
