        Lib. X.  of their Lands Contrary to the Faith and treaty with the said

                 Indians the Honour of this Government and in Contempt of

         p. 153  the Laws in such Cases made and provided you are therefore

                 hereby required to Summons the said John Parker John Par-

                 ker junr and John Murray to be and Appear before the next

                 General Assembly to be held at Annapolis on the second

                 tuesday in Iuly next being the day of the same month to

                 answer the said Complaint and thereof to fail not as they

                 will Answer the Contrary at their Perill

                   His Excellency lays before this Board a Letter from the

                 Governor and Council of Virginia which is Ordered to be

                 recorded and is as follows vizt

                 Gentlemen             Williamsburgh June the 25th 1726

                   According to what we had the Honour to write you last

         p. 154  month by your Messenger we now send you the Copys of

                 three Laws now Subsisting for the Improvement of our

                 Tobacco Trade and shall be glad if any of the Regulations

                 thereby established prove Agreable to the dispositions and

                 Circumstances of the people in your Province

                   The Bill which in our last we mentioned to be then under

                 Consideration in Assembly was rejected by the House of

                 Burgesses and the chief Reason was because it had a restraint

                 upon the People and Shipping of Virginia while those of your

                 Province were at Liberty to supply the marketts at home at
