At a Council held in the Council Chamber at Annapolis p. 152 on May the 4th 1726 Were Present

Colo William Holland Philemon Lloyd Esqr the honble Colo M T Ward Benjamin Tasker & Nicholas Lowe Esqrs
The petition of the Pocomoke and Assateague Indians in Somerset County being read Complaining that John Parker John Parker Junr and John Murray have entered their Towns against their will and have made Plantations so near that they shall Quit their said Towns unless they be removed Ordered that the Clerk of this Board write to the Sheriff of Somerset County to summon the said John Parker, John Parker Junr and John Murray to be and appear before the next General Assembly on the Second tuesday in July next to which time the same stands Prorogued to Answer the Complaint alledged against them by the said Indians And thereupon the following Letter was prepared and directed to the Sheriff of Somerset County
By the Governor and Council May the 4th 1726 Sir Complaint having been made to this Board by the Poco moke and Asseateague Indians that John Parker John Parker junr and John Murray and some others have taken Possession
