At a Council held at Annapolis in his Honour the Gov ernors House on Wednesday February the 27th 1722
Present The Honourable Charles Calvert Esqr Governor
Colo Samuel Young Philemon Lloyd Esqr the honble Colo Richard Tilghman James Lloyd Esqr Benja Tasker Esqr
His Honour the Governor acquainted the Board that he had nothing of moment to lay before the Assembly to be held on Tuesday the 2d day of April next and then ask'd the Ad vice and Opinion of the Board whether it would not be proper to prorogue the same to some further time and what time they would think Convenient to prorogue them to Upon Consideration of the Board are of Opinion that it is proper to prorogue the Assembly to some further time and that Tuesday the 2d day of July is a convenient time to pro rogue the same to that being a Season free from Courts and other publick Business Thereupon Ordered that proclamation issue to prorogue the present General Assembly to Tuesday the day of July next

p. 65 Whereas this present General Assembly stands progued to Tuesday the second day of April next and whereas there are no Affairs of moment to be laid before them which requires their meeting at that Time I have thought with the advice of his Lordships Council of State further to prorogue the same and I do hereby further prorogue the same to tues day the second day of Iuly next and to the intent that all persons concernd may have due notice thereof I do strictly require and Command the several Sheriffs of this province
