       At a Council held at his Honour the Governors House on     Lib. X.

                   Colo Thomas Addison

                   James Bowles Esqr

       the honble  Benjamin Tasker Esqr

                   Philemon Lloyd Esqr

                   Colo Tilghman         

                   Colo Ward

   

      His Honour the Governor having ask'd the Opinion of the

     Board what time was proper to prorogue the Assembly to he

     having nothing of moment to lay before them in february

     next, they are of Opinion that the first Tuesday in May

     being the 2d day of that month is a proper time to prorogue

     them to with which his Excellency Concurs

       Ordered that proclamation issue for that purpose

            By the Honble Charles Calvert Esqr

               Capt Genl and Lieut Governor

                      A Proclamation

    

       Whereas this present General Assembly stands prorogued

     to the day of February next, and whereas there is no

     Business of moment which requires their Attendance at that

     time I have thought fit with the advice of his Lordships

     Council of State further to prorogue the same and I do

     hereby further prorogue the same and I do hereby further

     prorogue the same to tuesday the second day of April next     p. 57

     and to the Intent that all persons concern'd may have due

     notice thereof I do strictly require and Command the several

     Sheriffs of this Province to make this my proclamation pub-

     lick in their respective Counties in the usual Manner as they

     will answer the Contrary at their perill Given at Annapolis

     this 19th day of January in the eighth year of the dominion

     of the right honble Charles Absolute Lord and proprietary

     of the provinces of Maryland & Avalon &c Annoq Domini

     1722

     with several Inchroachments of the Pennsylvanians and par
