             C. P. ours the Case is now quite different for that then he the said

                 Mr Carroll was keeper of his said Lordships Seale, now that

                 pretence being removed, Desires Mr Carroll will mark those

                 Patents for which he had Instructions to pfect and let them

                 be sealed And that the Tobacco may lye uncollected till their

                 Lordships shall make a discition herein

                   Advised and Resolved that a Proclamation Issue notifying

                 that his Excellency will Appoint Navall Officers within this

                 Province and Surveyors within the Severall Counties And

                 that Psons qualifyed for those Offices may Apply unto him

                 And that all Complaints and other matters usually heard

                 before the Surveyors Generall must be brought before his

                 Excellency he being the pson appointed to hear them as

                 follows

                              A Proclamation

                   Whereas the right honble the Lord Proprys land Affairs in

                 this Province for some months past have been impeded for

                 want of proper Officers duly qualifyed in the respective

                 Counties to survey lands, To remove that Obstruction and

                 settle those Affaires in their regular & Proper Course I have

                 thought fitt by and with the Advice of his Lordships honble

                 Councill to Issue this my Proclamation notifying to all and

                 Singular the Inhabitants of this Province as well as others

                 desirous to take up lands that the Right honble Francis Lord

                 Guilford his Lordship the Lord Proprys Guardian has Author

                 ized and Impowered me to Act as Surveyor Generall of this

                 Province to nominate & Comissionate the respective Survey

                 ors in the Severall Counties as likewise to hear and decide

                 all disputes Controversies and other matters Complained of

                 and properly Cognizable before his Lordships Surveyor Gen

                 erall, Wherefore I do hereby direct that such psons who are

                 qualifyed to Execute the Offices of his Lordships Surveyors

                 in the Severall Counties make their proper Application to me

                 before the first day of March next in Order to their being by

                 me Comissioned thereto.

                   And that all psons who have anything to Offer to his

                 Lordships Surveyor Generall relateing to his Ldships land

                 Affaires fail not to present them before me at Annapo where

                 they shall be readily heard, And to the end that all psons

                 may have due notice hereof and none pretend Ignorance I

                 do hereby in his Lordships the Lord Propry's name Comand

                 and require the respective Sherriffs of the Severall Counties

                 in this Province to Publish this my Proclamation at all
