                                The Council sate prsent

                   His Excellcy John Hart Esqr His Majesties Govnr in Cheif

                  &c.

                       Col Edward Lloyd      Lt Col Samuel Young

                       Col Wm Holland        Col Thos Greenfeild

                       Col Wm Coursey        Lt Col Rd Tilghman

                    His Excellency acquaints the Council tht He had Yesterday

                  received a Pacquett from the Right Honble the Earle of

                  Bolinbrooke forwarded by the Care of Col A. Spotswood

                  Governr of Virginia who had been so Civil to acquaint them

                  what had been done there. And the sd Lre from the Rt

                  Honble the Secretary of State being read is as follows. Viz.

           p. 18         Whitehall 5th of August 1714.

                  Sr

           

                    The Queen having been two or three days out of Order

                  on Tuesday last Her Maty grew somewhat worse & on

                  Fryday morning about ten of the Clock she was struck with

                  a very stong Convulsion. She recovered Her Senses in

                  about two Hours but continued to languish & to sink away

                  by degrees till near halfe & hour after seaven on Sunday

                  Morning, when it pleased Almighty God to take her to his

                  Mercie

                    I Enclose to You the Proclamation of his prsent Maty which

                  you will cause to be Published throughout Your Governmt

                    The Office Letter will acquaint you wth the appointment of

                  the Lords Justices & the other Publick Occurrences by wch

                  you will see what Effectual Care has been taken to secure the

                  Public Peace on this Occasion & dissapoint the hopes of those

                  few who are Enemies to the prsent happy Settlement.

                                      I am Sr Your humble Servt

                                                    Bolinbroke.

           

                    By Direction of the Lords Justices of this Kingdom I send

                  you a Proclamation which has been Published here declaring

                  the Sence of the Law wth respect to persons who held Offices

                  from her late Maty at the Tyme of her Death And I am to

                  desire tht you will Publish the same in all the Places under

           p. 19  Your Command. As also the Office Letter.

           

           

                         Whitehall 3d August 1714.

                    The Enclosed Gazzette gives an Account of the Death of

                  of the late Queen & of Proclayming his prsent Maty To which
