    quire & Command all his Subjects here to be aiding helping Lib. W. B.

    & Assisting to them in the Performance & Execution of their

    respective Offices & Places as they will answer the Contrary at

    their Perills. Given at the City of Annapolis the 27th day of

    Octobr in the first year of Reigne of Our Sovereigne Lord

    George by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ire

    land King Defendr of the Faith &c. Annoq Dni 1714

   

                    God Save the King.

   

   

      Then His Excellency the Governr took the Oaths appointed p. 16

    instead of the Oaths of Allegiance & Supremacy & also tooke

    & Subscribed the Oath appointed to be taken by the Act of

    Parliamt made in the 5th & Years of the Reigne of her

    late Majesties of Glorious Memorie Intituled an Act for

    Security of Her Majesty's Person and Government & of the

    succession to the Crowne of Great Britain in the Protestant

    Line. And the Oath of Governr usually taken within this

    Province As also the Oath appointed by the Act of Parliament

    made in the twelveth year of the Reigne of King Charles

    the second Intituled an Act for the Encrease of Shipping &

    Encouragemt of Navigation, And Enjoyned to be taken by

    all Govnrs of any of his Majesties Plantations relating to the

    Trade & Navigation therein & Subscribed the Test.

      The Honble Members of His Majesty Council prsent Viz.

    Col Edward Lloyd Samll Young Esqr Col Thos Greenfeild

    Col Wm Holland Col Rd Tilghman, & William Bladen Clerk

    of the Council took the afsd Oaths to his prsent Majesty

    appointed instead of the Oaths of Allegiance & Supremacy

    also the afsd Oath appointed by the sd Act of Parliamt of the

    5th & 6th years of her sd late Matys Reign & the Severall

    Oaths of Counsellar & Clerk & Subscribed the sd Oath ap

    pointed by the 5th & 6th of Queen Anne & likewise the

    Declaration commonly called the Test.

      Ordered that fair Transcripts of the Oaths mentioned in the

    Act of the fifth & Sixth of Queen Anne be sent to the respect

    ive County Courts wth Ded potest. directed to the 3d & 4th

    Persons in Commission to Swear the Cheif Justice who is

    to Sweare all other Officers both Civil & Military & all p. 17

    other persons in the several Countys who shall offer to take

    the Oaths appointed instead of the Oath of Allegiance &

    Supremacy & the afsd Oath appointed by the sd Act Copy

    whereof is sent them And that Notice be given to the respect

    ive Colonels to make an Handsom appearance of their

    Militia at the Tyme & place when the King is Proclaymed.
