282 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1714.
Lib. W. B. Votes of the House of Commons Veneris 10th die Augusti: 1714 Severall other Members prsent tooke the Oaths & made and Subscribed the Declaration and also tooke & Subscribed the Oath of Abjuration according to the Act of the Sixth Year of Her late Majesties Reigne, Intituled, An Act for the security of Her Majesties Person & Government and of the succession of the Crowne of Great Britain in the Protestant Lyne. A Bill for the better Support of his Majesties Houshold, and of the Honour and Dignity of the Crowne of Great Britain, was read a second tyme and Comitted to a Com mittee of the whole House. Resolved that this House will to Morrow morning Resolve itselfe into a Committee of the whole House upon the sd Bill. Resolved Nemine contradicente that it be an Instruction to the sd Committee of the whole House tht they have Power to receive a Clause to Empower the Lord High Treasurer or Commissioners of the Treasury for the tyme being to Issue the summe of £65022 8 l 8d being the Arrear due to the Troops of Hannover for their Service in the Low Countries in the year 1712 out of the £300000 granted in the last Ses sion of Parliament to her late Majesty towards Satisfying the Debt due on Account to the Land Forces. Resolved Nemine Contradicente that it be an Instruction to the sd Committee of the whole House that they have power to receive a Clause to Enable and require the Lord High Treasurer or Commissioners of the Treasury for the tyme being to Issue out of any Mony granted by Parliament the summe of 100000 l to be paid to any Person or Persons who shall Apprehend the Person of the Pretender, if ever he should Land or Attempt to Land in any of His Majesties Dominions. A Bill for Rectifying Mistakes in the Commissioners Names for putting in Execution the Act passed the Last Session of Parliament Intituled an Act for Granting an Aid to her Majes tie to be raised by a Land Tax in Great Britain for the Service of the year Seventeen hundred and fourteen was read a second tyme and committed to a Committee of the whole House. Resolved that this House will upon Tuesday Morning next resolve itselfe into a Comittee of the whole House upon the sd Bill. p. 9 Ordered that it be an Instruction to the sd Comittee that they have Power to receive a Clause for the Continuing untill the End of the next Session of Parliament all such Laws as
