Note you are not impowered to meddle with any Ships or Lib. H. D. Goods taken or Seized by her Matys Men of Warr as goods of her Matys Enemys Nevertheless the Ships the Goods the pirates & Derelicts Seiz'd by her Matys Men of Warr do of right belong to the High Admirall & you are to take Espe ciall Care therein. You are to take Especiall Care of all Ships & Goods be- p. 189 longing to the Enemys of her Maty Seized by English private Men of Warr or Ships Comissionated by Letters of Mart or reprizall & upon Adjudication of Ships so Seized you are to Nominate two appraisors Ioyntly with such Commissionated To the end that his Royall Highness's Rights be entirely pre serv'd & before you suffer possession of the said Ships & Goods to be Delivered to the said privateer You are to recieve the tenths thereof for me to the use of his Royall Highness according to the Appraismts but you are not in any wise to exact the same in Specie from the said privateers & upon payment thereof to you the said privateers are to recieve the said prize quietly into their possession and the tenths together with the particulars & appraisments you are to transmitt to me in the same Manner as you are hereby directed to trans mitt to me your other Reciepts. Where note the said Tenths of prizes are to be made to you Clear of all reasonable Charges whatsoever And that according to the Course & Style of Admity & from time in Memoriall vizt the sd privateers must Satisfy & pay you & the Officers & Appraisors named by you all your Reasonable Charges. X The same is to be observed where Cause is to be seen to restore to the Claimors the Goods & Vessells Seiz'd under any of the pretences whatsoever where Iust Cause of Seizure shall lawfully appear. You are to take Care that all Degrees & orders directed to you from any legall Court in relation of the foremencond Droits & perquisites of Admity be put to due Execution You are to acquaint me with any abuses Neglects Deceipts Cor ruptions or Decroachmts whatsoever as you shall find or understand to be Comitted by any person whatsoever in the taking Collecting Siezing imbezileing or Disposing in any of the abovemenconed Droits & perquisites of Admity & to take Such Course for recovering the same on my behalf as may best Conduce to the bettering & Advancing the due rights of the Lord High Admirall.
