p. i88 You are Diligently to the trust & Confidence I have repos'd in you to apply yourself on all occasions to the promoting & Advancing all Iust Rights droits & perquisites of Admiralty in the provinces of pensilvania Maryland & Virginia to the use of his Royall Highness prince George of Denmark Lord High Admirall of England, Ireland &c And of all her Matys plantations &c And Generalissmo of all her Matys fforces. You are during the present Warr Diligently to Enquire & inform your Self of all Shipps & Goods as shall come into any port, Creek or Road of the said provinces or either of them by stress of Weather or other Accident or Mistake of port or by Ignorance not knowing of the Warr as shall belong to her Matys Enemys & also of all Enemys Ships & Goods Casually met at Sea & Seized by any Vessell not Comissionated And of the Ships Vessells & Goods as shall be forsaken or dere licted by the Enemy And also of all Racks of the seas ifiotsam Jetsom Lagon Shipps and Goods of pirates Deodands & all other Droits Rights Dutys and perquisites of Admiralty be longing to the Lord High Admirall You are to give Notice of all such Shipps Vessells Goods or other Droits & perquisites aforemencond To the end that the Same may by you & such person as you from time to time & Appoint be seized & proceeded agt according to due Course of Law to such persons as are legally Authorized in that behalf And also to transmitt an accot thereof to me. You are also after the same are legally Condemn'd to gett the said Ships Vessells Goods & other Droits & perquisites aforemencon'd appraised upon the oaths of four persons at the least & after Appraisement made as afd You are to sell publickly by Inch of Candle Due notice being first Given by the Space of fourteen days at the least in the most publiq places of the said provinces or either of thm of the time & place of sale to the best & fairest Chapman And the proceed thereof after a Reasonable Defalcacon of what Charges you shall be att & a reasonable Allowance for your pains & trouble in the prosecutions Appraisements & Sales of the afore mencond You are to transmitt to me in the most Convenient Manner & with all speed imaginable together with a particular & the Appraisement of all such Ships & Goods Condemn'd & also of the burthen of the sd Ships & the Quantitys & Qua litys of the said Goods.
