Majestys Advice Boat Eagle imprest two of your petitioners Saylors which with much perswasion he was pleased to leave on Board but being now ordered to Virginia demands one George Wayte one of the best Sailors on board your petitioners Vessel & has commanded him to send him on Board the said Advice Boat otherwise threatning further damage by impres sing more of your Petitioners men who are very few where fore unless your Honours will be pleased to lay your orders on the said Captain Bostock to desist impressing his Saylors he is afraid his Voyage will be utterly overthrown at least must be forced to remain in the Country until another Convoy present which will be very Chargeable Ordered that the said Captain Bostock be told that this Board do believe that the said man should be imprisoned it would be a means to disable the ship on her Voyage espc ially considering he has but six men besides two French Prisoners of Warr therefore direct him not to take him from on Board Captain Bostock being sent for came & was made Acquaint ed with the aforegoing Order p. 3” Captain Bostock being asked in what readiness he was to Sail for Virginia says he has not yet got his Complement of men to be borne on Board his ship but that he will do his Endeavour the first fair Wind and weather presenting His Honour the President was pleased to tell Capt Bostock that his men had not discreetly behaved themselves in im pressing according to the warrant for that they had made such a noise that they had given an alarm to such men as might have been had for the service & getting drunk had let others go which they had taken Mr Richard Beards account for looking after the publick Arms referred to the next Council Mathew Beards petition read & ordered that he Officiate as Marshal or Water Bailiff of the Western Shore till further Orders Mrs Elianor Tubmans petition read & recommended to the Vestry of all Faiths Parish in St Marys County to allow what they think reasonable for Mr Tubmans Service if not as minister yet as Reader Lieut Colo Holland having a Claim for 6070 l tob from Colo John Cood late Sheriff of St Marys County in the year 1695 Unsatisfied upon his petition it was ordered that the said Colo Coods Bond be assigned to him to be put in Suite for the Recovery of his Demand
