130 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1702.

Ordered that Captain Bostock bring down from Turkey Point her Majestys Advice Boat Eagle to receive the further Commands of this Government Ordered that the several Vestrys of the several Parishes of this Province send their Accots to the Clerk of the Council Especially South River Parish & St Pauls in Baltimore County
October the 12th 1702 Present The honble Tho Tench Esqr President Robert Smith Esqr Lt Colo Wm Holland the honble Colo Jno Hammond & Colo Edward Lloyd Mr James Sanders i'he petition of John Hill and John Stokely of Sussex County in Pennsylvania being read & the reasons & prayer therein set forth being well considered this Board do advise & desire the Provincial Court not to proceed to Judgment in the said Cause until the dividing Line is run between this Provs & Pennsylvania so that it may be ascertained in which Province the Land lieth the Lands in Question being taken up by several Rights Came Sr Thomas Lawrence Secry & Complained that Mr Charles Carrol had given him an account of Eighty two Patents prepared this present year but had not sent them into his Office to be recorded & was gone for England that he had wrote to Colo Darnal about the said Patents who had returned for answer that he knew nothing of them but when they were prepared & sealed he would send them in as Usual p. 296 Mr James Carrol Attorney in fact to Mr Cha Carrol being Sent for & asked for the said pattents says he is Sensible they are in Mr Carrols House but that they are not prepared to be sent to the Secrys Office being neither signed nor Sealed but that so soon as ready will be sent to the said Office Ordered that Collo Darnal have notice to prepare the said Pattents with all Convenient Speed & send them to the Secrys Office to be recorded according to his late Majestys Order in Council. The honourable President acquaints the Board that upon the death of Mr Wm Wyvill riding Surveyor at the head of the Bay he had sent a Commission to Mr William Dyer but being since that acquainted that Edwd Randolph Esqr Sur veyor General was arrived in Virginia & not knowing how far his Commission might extend had called it in & prays
