                  Resolved and advised that whereas God be thanked we

                have certain Advice of his most sacred Majestys being in

                good health & that the Kingdom of England is in a flourish

                ing estate & that it hath pleased Almighty God the late

                Violent Mortality is ceased here & many seditious & evil

                Reports tending to the disquiet of this province lately set

                on foot & spread abroad are Supressed & Vanished & that

                the waters commonly called cool springs in St Marys County

                are lately found to have done great Good & have Effected

                Considerable cures on divers persons so that the good people

                of this Province may reasonably hope for peace plenty &

                good days that tuesday next be set apart for a day of

                publick thanksgiving therefore at the Port of Annapolis and

                att all other places & Countys in this Province on tuesday

                the 22d of Novr Ensuing

                  Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Lovett Mast of the

                Briganteen Susannah of Spanish Town prays that he may be

                permitted to have his Briganteene now under Seizure

                appraised & that he will give Security to stand Trial at the

                next Provincial Court

                  This Petition is not thought fit to be Granted in respect

                that many frauds have been Committed here in Deceit of his

                Majesty upon such Apraisments

        p. 163  Whereas no Sufficient person qualified to be Judge of his

                Majestys Court of Admiralty on the eastern shore of this

                Province is represented to his Excellency to be so Commis-

                sionated

                  Ordered that the honble Thomas Tench Esqr his Commis-

                sion be enlarged to be judge of the Admiralty as well on the

                Eastern as Western Shoar of this Province

           

                  And that Mr W Bladens commission be also enlarged to

                be register of the said Court as well on the Western as East

                ern Shore

                  His Extellency is pleased to order that a Commission be

                prepared constituting Mr Wm Dent his Majstys Advocate of the

                said Court
