By his Excellency the Capt Genl Lib. X. A Proclamation Whereas the General Assembly of this Province by his Majestys Writt under the Great Seal of the said Province dated at the Port of Annapolis the 8th instant was & is dis solved I have thought fit & do by this my Proclamation give Notice to all & singular his Majestys Subjects Inhabitants within this Province that by & with the advice & consent of his MajtYs honble Council here I have directed & commanded writts of Election to be issued for the summoning & electing Burgesses or Delegates to serve in a General Assembly of this Provs to be held at the Town & Port of Annapolis in Ann Arundel County the 8th day of May next Ensuing the date hereof & therefore to the end that the said Election may be duly & fairly made & returned I have Directed the said Writts of Election to be forthwith expressly sent to the several Counties of this Province & do hereby require all Freeholders inhabitants thereof that are capable of giving their Vote for electing such Burgessses or delegates that they personally be & appear at the times & Places when & were they shall have notice the several Elections for there several Counties are held to elect & give their Votes for such Gentlemen as they shall think most fit & able to be their Representatives in the said p. 272 Genl Assembly so that there be no grounds for complaints of any undue elections & I do hereby further require all & sin gular the Inhabitants of this Province that any aggreviances that are fit to be redressed at the said General Assembly that they do communicate the same to their several Delegates & representatives to be Laid before the said Assembly were they will be redressed & I do hereby Command & Require all the Sheriffs of this Province to publish this my Proclamation in all Churches Chappels Court Houses & other publick places of within their several Counties dated at the lown & Port of Annapolis under the great Seal of the said Province this 9th day of february in the Tweth year of his said Majestys Reign &ca Annoq Dni 1700 N Blakiston God save the King William R. Lib. H. D. Trusty and well beloved we greet you well, Whereas it has p. 282 been represented to us that it may be Necessary that you should Come into England for the recovery of your health, We have thought fitt to Signify our pleasure to you that in Case the distemper you are under should encrease that you may return home as soon as you find it requisite, taking care
