X. in reguard there is a Law in the Kingdm of England that the Parliament there shall not sit Longer than three years if it will not be Adviseable to dissolve them & not suffer them to sitt Longer The Petition of James Anderson & Mary his wife praying remittance of Mantis Handleys Recognizance of ten pounds Sterling for the appearance of John Sehey being read & ap pearing that the said Handley had procured the said Sehey to appear at the County Court afterwards tho not at the pre cise time he was bound to & that the said Sehey had received corporal Punishment for his crimes upon the Certificate of the Justices of Dorchester County the said Fine is remitted Mr Gerrard Slyes petition for a writt of Injunction upon his Fine 6000 l Tobacco ats George Muschamp Esqr his Majestys Receiver of the district of Potomack which said writt of In junction is Granted Mr Edward Lomans petition for Injunction in the cause be tween him & Sayers Executors read and Granted The Account of Prizes seized by Wm Bladen Surveyor of his Majestys Customs in the Port of Annapolis being produced p. 267 to this Board by Geo Plater Esqr his Majestys Receiver of the District of Putuxent was allowed of & Ordered to be recorded Ordered that commission issue appointing the following persons to be Justices of the peace in Calvert County vizt Mr Walter Smith Mr George Lingham Ino Hance Samuel Holds worth, Mr Parker, Thomas Gray Josiah Wilson, Robert Skin- ner, Elisha Hall, Jno Leech John Smith Geo Parker & Alex ander Parran Ordered that a new Commission be made for the Provincial Court & that Mr John Hall of Baltimore County be thereby one of the Justices of the said Court Ordered that Colonel John Thomas of Baltimore County for his late irregularitys be left out of the Commission of the peace in Baltimore County Ordered that Mr Samuel Young be appointed one of the Justices of Ann Arundel County Court The honble Collo John Hammond from the Committee for apportioning the publick Levy acquaints his Excellency & the Board that the Committee do find there will not be sufficient Tobacco to discharge all the publick Claim unless his Excel lency & Council will be pleased to order the 60000 l of tobacco to be Raised by virtue of the act of Assembly whereupon this Board upon the said Committees Representation do order that the said 60000 l of Tobacco be Raised & it is further ordered
