Give and grant unto our Trusty and well beloved Sr Thomas Lib. H. D. Lawrence Baronett the Office or place of Secretary of our Province of Maryland in America and him the said Sir Thomas Lawrence Secretary of our Province of Maryland in America We do make Ordeine and Constitute by these presents in the Room of Thomas Lawrence Esqr deceased; To have hold Ex ercise and Enjoy the Said Office or place unto the said Sir Thomas Lawrence by himselfe or his Sufficient Deputy during our pleasure and the residence of him the Said Sir Thomas Lawrence in the Said Province together with all Rights Privi ledges profitts perquisites and Advantages to the Said Office belonging incident or in any wise apperteining and in Such Manner and forme as the Said Thomas Lawrence or any person or persons heretofore have held and enjoyed or ought to have held & enjoyed the Same And our further will and pleasure is And we do hereby declare That if the Said Sr Thomas Lawrence do not within the Space of four Months next and Imediatly ensuing the Date of these our Letters pattents ‘I'ransporte himselfe into our Said Province of Maryland That then these our Letters Pattents and every Clause Article and thing therein Conteined shall Cease determine and be utterly void to all Intents and Purposes any thing herein before Con teined to the Contrary Notwithstanding In Wittness whereof we have Caused these our Letters to be made pattents Wittness Thomas Archbishop of Canterbury and the rest of the guardians and Iustices of the Realm att Westminister the Eleventh day of July in the 13th Year of our Reigne.
