Pounds of tobbo to such inhabitants as Afd refuseing or neg-
lecting as Aforesaid And under the Penalty of One thousand
Pounds of tobo to such Regr refuseing or neglecting to enter
it at the time of Giveing notice afd haveing reed his fee for
the same and such Regr is likewise hereby oblidged to shew
any pson or psons reasonably desireing it any such Reg' or
Give a Certificate of any Regr of Births Marriages or burialls
that shalbe reasonably required of him and shall have for his
fees from such psons six Pence for any Search and Six pence
for any Coppy or Certificate Given as Aforesaid and noe more

Hereby raitifying and Confirmeing as vallid all Regre or En-
trys of any births Marriages or Burialls heretofore made with
any Clerk of any County Court according to directions of
such laws as were then in force before any of these Laws were
in being And that the Regr of each Parrish may be enabled
to performe the charge hereby required of him.
Be it Enacted by the Authority Advice and consent Afore-
said that if there be any Vestryes of any Parrishes that have

not Allready provided good and Substantiall Wrighteing

bookes well bound sufficient for Regestring such proceedings
in according to the directions of the former laws that in every
such case of such neglect or Omission the Vestry of such
Parrish shall at the pish charge Provide such Booke or Bookes
within six months from the end of this Session of Assembly
under the Penalty of five hundred Pounds of tobbo each Ves-
tryman (The minister only Excepted) neglecting as aforesaid
to Our Sovereigne Ld the King for the uses herein mencond
and that there may be no neglect in the Vestryes or those
employed under them in the carefull and conscionable Per-
formances of their Severall Charges in this law contained the
said Vestryes are hereby Oblidged to meet frequently or as
often as need shall require upon notice Given by the Princi-
pall Vestryman of Each Parrish to consult of the methods
and ways of performeing the Severall Authoritys reposed in
them and from which Vestryes soe Appointed noe Vestrymen
without lawful impediment shall Absent himselfe under the
Penalty of One Hundred pounds of tobbo to each Vestryman
willfully neglecting to appear as Afd and under the same
Penalty to such Principall Vestryman who shall not appoint
such Vestry to meete when need shall require such Omissions

& neglects to be noted in the Vestrys Regeater of Proceedings

and recovered in his Matys name And the said Severall and
respective Vestryes are hereby further enjoyned that where
there is not Tables of Marriages Allready sett up in their
respective Parrish Churches with all convenient Speed and
within six months at the most to procure A fair Table of
marriages transcribed and Sett up in their respective Churches
