Resolved that Mr Bladen according to his proposall have
liberty to printe the body of the Law of this province if so his
Excy shall seem meet And it is likewise unanimously resolved
by this house that upon Mr Bladens delivery of one Printed
body of the said Laws to each respective County Court
within this province for this encouragement Shall have allowd
him Two Thousand pounds of tobo in each respective County
as aforesaid
And as to the other Proposall relateing to building a
prison
This house have resolved and doe authorize and empower
Mr James Saunders Mr Samll Young and Capt Jno Worthington
to treate contract and agree with any undertakers that will
undertake building the Prison according to demencons sett
downe in the Journall of the last Sessions of Assembly for
which this house doe agree to sattisfy the undertakers out of
the Publick Stock any Sume agreed for not exceeding Two
hundred pounds Sterling
The Honoble Robt Smith And Francis Jenkins Esqre enter
the house and bring with them the Order relateing to Doctor
Brays sendeing the Act for Religion and address for England
(thus endorsed) Assented to
by his Excy and Councill

By the Councill May 9th 1700
Proposed that the house take care to appointe some Certaine
psons to draw Orders for the money to be pd the Rangers
who are in present want

Thereupon resolved by the house that Collo John Hammond
Mr James Saunders and Mr Samll Young be and are hereby
appointed to Sattisfy and pay out of the Publick Stock all such
sums of money that is this prsent Sessions allotted to be paid
to and upon Acco' of the rangers and that they have and this
house doe give them full power to draw and Sign Orders on
Mr Robt Mason late publick Treasr of the Westerne Shoare
