Ordinances for cleaning the County Arms
By the house of Dellegates
May 2d 1700
Orderd that the respective Millitary Officers be and are
enjoyned to take care that the Countrey's Arms in their Sevll
Countys be forthwith well and sufficiently fixed and cleansed
and that the charge thereof be borne and defrayed by the
respective Countys if yor Excy and Councill shall thinke fitt
to concurr herewith

Orderd that Mr Jacob Lockerman and Majr Walter Smith
carry the said Ordinances to his Excy and Councill
They return and say they have delivered the same
Proposed by a member of this house that the Proposalls
for advancement of money may be printed
Resolved that the same be printed, and that about forty
Coppys be delivered the house
Mr Tench and Colll Hutchins enters the house and delivers
to Mr Speaker the ordinances last sent which were endorsed
vizt
The ordnance for the Publick Armes endorsed
Eod Die Assented to by his Excy the Govr and Councill
in Assembly
W. Bladen Clk Councill
The other relateing to the Treasr and Navall Officers and
for appointment of Mr Samll Young to be Navall Officer for
the Westerne Shore Endorsed
