May the third Seventeen hundred and four

On the behalf of her most Sacred Majesty Anne by the
Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland and
the Dominions thereunto belonging Queen Defender of the
faith &c.
I will this to be a Law. Sealed with
Jo. Seymour the great Seale
of Maryland

An Act for repealing a Clause in An Act of Assembly Inti-
tuled an Act for Establishment of Religious Worship in
this Province &ca and Also for appointing the Oaths of
Abjuration to be taken in this Province

Forasmuch as the pretended Prince of Wales hath for
some time and doth still Continue to Assume to himself The
Title of King of England and the Dominions thereunto
belonging by the name of James the third, Therefore for the
better Security of her Majty in her Just right and Sovereignty
in and over the Province of Maryland and for Extinguishing
all hopes of the friends and Adherents of the said prtended
Prince
Be it Enacted by the Queens most Excellent Majesty by
and with the Advice and Consent of her Majesty's Governour
Councill and Assembly of This province and the Authority
of The same that from and after the Conclusion of this
Prsent Sessions of Assembly the Oath of Abjuration shall be
Administred to all psons tht all Ready have or shall hereafter
be admitted to have and Enjoy any office or Place of Trust
within this Province in such manner and form as is herein
after recited (That's to say)
I A. B. do truly and Sincerely acknowledge Profess Testify
and declare in My Conscience before God and the World

that our Sovereign Lady Queen Anne is Lawfully and right-
fully Queen of the Realm of England and of all other Her
Majesty's Dominions and Countries thereunto belonging
And I Do Solemnly and Sincerely declare That I do believe
in my conscience that The pson pretended to be Prince ot
Wales during the life of the late King James and since his
death pretending to be and taking upon himself the Stile and
Title of King of England by the name of James the third
hath not any right or title whatsoever to the Crown of the
Realm of England or any other of the Dominions thereunto
belonging And I do renounce refuse and abjure any allegiance
or obedience to him and I do Swear that I will bear faith and
true Allegiance to her Majty Queen Anne and her will defend
