Wee are informed credibly that there is out of Captaine
Evans's Ship the man of warr putt one thousand Gallons of
Rume on board mr Stephen Coles Ship Rideing att West
River for Sale

Resolved by the house that the Navall officers make further
Enquiry into what Quantityes of Rume has been imported in
the Commodore, and ordered they putt in Execution Laws for
Recovery of the Dutyes

Humbly Sheweth
That yor petr has faithfully serued this Province in rendring
his just and true accts and in payeing the Publick Debts to the
Satisfaction of Every pson, tht Ever had any ordrs on him &
tht for this last three yeares, yor petr has recd aboue 1400l all
wch has been paid out in Small parcells to the honble Councill
Delegates, Assembly, Sheriff and others that has Done any
service for the publick which has created to yor petr a very
great Trouble, in consideraon whereof yor petr humbly prayes
yor Honrs would please to make him a further allowance of
one p Cent, and yor petr as in Duty bound shall pray
