service his Majesty has thought fitt to make him, out of and
from the Revenue of each respectiue Plantaon and Collony
then under his Royall Governement, the Governement of this
Province being then in Proprietors hands, was the reason that
noe such provision was made for him here, But itt being con-
ceived tht the sd Auditor generall may be of great Friendship
and service to this Province The accounts of whatever is
raised or leavyed here, whither money or Tob, being to be
layed and passed before the Lord high Threasurer of England,

Wee hope that you will thinke fitteing to provide sume suit-
able gratuity by a reasonable yearly allowance to be made
unto him for such his service, as you will see other plantations
and Collonyes, are directed by his Pattent, the Publick accounts
of this Province being now under his care, by the Governm'
being taken into his Matys more immediate princely care &

Mr John Salter sent up to the Councill to desire a con-
ference with them toucheing our Laws
He returnes and sayes the Councill are willing to joyne in
Conference for that purpose & will appoint some gent to joyne
with some members of this house, & ordered they mett in the
Library Chamber
Mr Phil Loyd and Mr Richd Tilghman appointed & ordered
to attend, whoe enters the house, and reporte that the Councill
did resolve tht the Laws be Enacted in the Queens name ac-
cording to message on that subject
The message by James Saunders and Wm Coursey Esqrs
being read its considered by the house that the office of Wm
Blathwaite Esquire does not concerne the publick of this Prov-
ince, and this house doubt not but his Majesty whoe has ap-
pointed the office, has allowed a Suitable Sallary, therefore
The house proceed to resolve proposalls yesterday as followes
1. As to the proposall for conversion of Indians, Its re-
solved tht a bill be prepared, and brought before the house for
that purpose
2. To suppress Popish Priests & others from pverting her
Maties Subjects and draweing them over to the church of Rome,
& the proposalls for the inhabitants to goe to church or some
publick place of Devotion on Sundays or keep home reading
good books, &c. for good Example read, and,
Resolved tht bills be drawne & brought in for the same
3. as to the Explanatory bill for to appropriate such Tobo
as shall be raised in parishes where noe ministers are inducted
Likewise rescued a bill be prepared for that purpose
