Octob^r 1692 appears to be due to Col Copleys Estate being
read together with the Proceedings of Several Committees
were referred to the Consideration of the House of Delegates
for Allowance

The Council in Assembly again Sat Present as before
Came Ja^s Sanders Esq & was added to the Board
Then was read the Petition of John Burroughs of S^t Mary's
County Planter praying the Remittance of a fine of five hund^d
pounds of Tob^o imposed on him for not attending as a Jury-
man at the Provincial Court whereas he was prevented by
Sickness
Due proof having been made of the Allegation in the Peti-
tion set forth Ordered the s^d Fine of five hund^d pds. of Tob^o
be remitted & not levy'd upon the Petitioner who has been
always very ready in his Person to serve the Government
Joseph Sanders of Ann Arundel County Planter his Petition
read setting forth that whereas a Serv^t man & Woman of his
had been lately executed for the murther of their fellow Ser-
vant besides which he had no Serv^t left and for that several
of this Board were sensible It was Customary to have Al-
lowance from the Country for such servants Executed He
prayed allowance to be made him for his said Servant.
Which Petition having been duly considered this Board do
say that none of them know of any such Custom in this Prov-
ince, but in regard his Circumstances are become very in-
different They do refer his Petition to the charitable Consi-
deration of the House of Deleg^s
Col Francis Jenkins his Letter to the Board in Excuse of his
not attending at this time being prevented by Sickness was
read and admitted of
It being represented to this Board that three Saylors be-
longing to the Ship Constant Mary Joseph Palmer Ma^t who
loaded in South River had deserted the s^d Vessel upon her
Departure and were and still are harboured and Entertained
by one John Turner a Planter at the Head of the said River
Ordered that the Sheriffe of Ann Arundel County take the
said John Turner & the three Saylors afs^d into his Custody and
bring them before the honbie James Sanders Esq^r one of her
Majesty's Council to be dealt with according to Law
The Board being informed that M^r Rich^d Beard who was
the Keeper of the publick Magazine at Annapolis was lately
dead sent the following Message to the House of Dellegates
