from the Honble Councill enters the house and Delivers Mr
Speaker the Bill for Religious Worship &ca which was sent
up to the Comee to be engrossed.
The Parragraph in his Excy Speech relateing to a Supply of
money towards building a Forte at New Yorke was read
as also his Matys Lre: on that Subject was likewise read. The
Consideracon whereof is referred till a full house to morrow
morning.
Thomas Brooke Esq. Collo Jno Addison, Collo John Courts,
Collo John Hamond, and Collo Edward Loyd, enters the house
and delivers to the Honble Speaker a Message from his Excy
as follo vizt
Gent: Att my first comeing into this province I gave it you
under my hand that I would never putt on the least maske of
disguise in my actions with you and I hope I have been
strictly just in it in all pticulars. Therefore I hold my selfe
obliged not to conceale my going for England upon any
account or prospect whatsoever, I have sollicited his Maty for
leave to goe home for the recovery of my health wch he has
been graciously pleased to grant me.
And in order to it I have some thought of goeing this
summer.
Therefore if I cann be of any Signall Service there I will
doe it, with the same alacrity and Honesty I have demon-
strated to you here and as I came into the province unpreju-
diced, soe I solemnly declare I shall leave it without the least
ill impression as any person whatsoever.

Which being read in the house it is desired by them that
Mr Speaker would please prepare an answer to the same
against to morrow morning.

The house mett againe and were called over & prsent as
yesterday.
Bill Prohibiting abuses Comitted by Woods Rangers, Read
the 2d time and voted whether it pass or not. Carried that
it doe not pass as it is.
Resolved to be amended.
