Mr Thomas Collier Navall officer for Wm Stadt Likewise
appeared and delivered in his acct which was approved of by
the house, and Ordered that he make Oath to his Account be-
fore his Excy and Deliver them to Mr Speaker.
Upon motion made to this house it is Ordered that William
Taylard be allowed three thousand pounds of Tobacco for
services by him done from the time of the Decease of Christo-
pher Gregory late Clerke of this house till he was appointed
Clerke and that Majr Wm Dent Executor of the said Gregory
be discharged from all claime of the said Taylard according to
an order of last Sessions of Assembly.
Robt Smith and francis Ienckins Esqrs enter the house and
deliver Mr Speaker the following bills, viz :
Bill investing Land in Dorothy Stevens &c. endorsed May
15th 1701 read 1 & 2d time and will pass

Bill investing land on St James Church &c. read, endorsed
read 1 & 2d time and will pass

Bill for for naturalizacon of severall psons &c: endorsed
May 15th 1701, read 1 & 2d time and will pass if they be not
ffrench papists.

The Peticon of Mr Phillip Lynes for an allowance of
arreares of publick accts recomended by his Excy the Govr and
Councill last sessions of Assembly to the house of Dell.
Was here read and resolved the same be referred to Mr
Wm Harris Collo Thomas Ennalls and Majr Thomas Smith to
Examine into and inspect his accounts and Claimes and re-
porte here to morrow morning their proceedings thereupon,
that the said Lynes may have Right done.
Which Comittee being sent out at the prayer of the sayd
Lynes.
Therefore the sayd Lynes came and in the house oblidged
himselfe to be Concluded and abide by the Report of the said
Comittee, and upon such report is never, more to make any
further claimes.
To all which the said Phillip Lynes did readyly concurr with.
Thomas Tench and Jno Addison Esqrs enter the house and
deliver the Speaker three messages, consideracon whereof is
referred till tomorrow morning.
Collo Thos Ennalls enters the house and prsent the honble
Speaker the foll. ordinance which was ordered to be read.
