L^t Colonel Ennals and L^t Colonel Smallwood bring the
following Message from the House viz.

By the house of Delegates April 30^th 1700

The Message by the hon^ble Colonel Courts and Francis Jen-
kins Esq^r relating to Storehouses for keeping & Securing the
publick Arms and Amunition &c. and the other message by
James Frisby Esq and Colonel Hamond about the Indian
Affairs was here received & read. And this house humbly
pray your Ex^ncy will be pleased to appoint some of the
Gentⁿ of the Hon^ble Councill to conferr with some Members
of this house as well to consider of what is in the said
Messages recomended to this house as alsoe of some Con-
venient place to secure the Publick Library of this Province.
This house having appointed Major James Smallwood Major
Thomas Ennalls M^r Philemon Lloyd Major Walter Smith
M^r John Wight & M^r Sam^l Young to joyne in such Con-
ference and to attend such of his Ma^tys Councill as your
Ex^ncy shall appoint at such time & place as they shall direct.

Answer.

By his Ex^ncy the Gov^r and Councill in Assembly
May I^st 1700

According to the houses Request Col: Addison, Colonel
Courts and Col: Hamond are appointed by this Board to
joyn in Conference with the Gentⁿ of the house of Dele-
gates at M^r Freemans about 2 of the Clock in the After-
noon.
