       occasions without any let molestacon or hindrance; his Mats Lib. H. D.

       Service and intrest being therein more imediately concern'd.

       In testimony whereof I have Caused the Broad Seal of this

       his Mats Province to be hereunto Affixed this 17th day of

       March in the Ninth Year of the Reign of our Soveraign Lord

       King William the Third &ca Annoq Domini 1696/7

         Then Recd: of Henry Denton Clerk of the Councill (by

       Ordr of Capt Richard Brightwell Comander of the Rangers in

       Potomock) these following Arms & Acoutremts &ca Vizt Ten

       sadles and Bridles with Caps for Carbines Ten Carbines &

       belts Ten pair of Pistolls, Ten Cartouch boxes and belts and

       ‘l'en byonets and belts for the Vse of the Rangers. Recd also

       at the Same time fforty one yards of blew Duffells & Twenty

       one Yards of Red ditto to be disposed off by Capt Brightwell

       for Skins and ffurs for the Governrs vse to go out by this ffleet:

         I find upon the Accots of the ffusees by me taken, that there

       are 126 wanting, having Sent away to Caecill, Talbot, Dor

       chester and Somerset Counties Sixty to Each County (accord

       ing to former Division) before I discovered what were want

       ing.

         Mem: that for the Six Counties on this side the Bay there

       is left of the ffusees above mention'd according to the Division

       of the Same, but 39 to each County.

         Vpon inquiry made of the Man of Warrs Gunner (by Order

       of his Exncy) concerning the ffusees brought in &ca he gave me

       the following Accot Vizt

         The ffusees are good of the Sort, but are not made to fire at

       a blast therefore they must be fired by the hand; the Mortar

       being placed upon the ground and the powder in the Chamber,
