      as also Signifying that Addresses has been sent from the Lib. H. D.

      Governmts of Virga & New York upon the late conspiracy

      happening but tht none had been Rëcd: from Maryland—As

      to the ffirst they do for Answer say that the Currency of

      Coynes is stated in the Act and therefore don't know how

      to Express the same in other terms, but was Wholy left to

      his Mats Royall pleasure; And as to the Addresses, it was

      thought most proper to be done in an Assembly who were

      called on purpose and Addresses accordingly prepared and

      sent in Capt Barbar who miscarried, and Duplicates afterwards

      made, but had no oportunity of sending them Since, till this

      ffleet.

        Having Signified also that an End is put to the New York

      Affair which he hopes will be to the generall Satisfaction &

      liking of the Countrey &ca They will take Care to Comunicate

      the same to the Assembly at their meeting as well as the

      other Mattrs and will Continue to Recommend to them to

      make him a suitable Return for what he has done already and

      shall hereafter do for the Service of this his Mats Province.

      Order abt the  Read a Letter by his Exncy Recd: from his Exncy

      News Sent

      from New Coll Benjamin ifietcher Governr of New York

      York to be Enterd.  Dated the 23d day of January last past and

               another from the Clerk of the Councill of that

     

      Governmt Dated the 8th of ffebry next following together with

      some written & printed News; Ordered that the same be

      Enter'd in the Council Book; the which followes in these

      Words, Vizt

     

      Govr ffletchers Lre to his Exncy abt Sr

        By the way of Boston I had three Pacquets

      pacquets Rec   from Whitehall under Cover of which you had

      from White-

      hall &Caone its transmitted with all the hast I can, and

      hope it will Reach you by the hand of my very worthy Old

      ifriend Coll: Robert Quary.

     

        I can give yor Exncy no News from hence; the weather is

      so hard that Count ifrontinack may keep his promise of

      attacking this place if his Stomack be up.

     

        I have directed Mr Jamison to send your Exncy the trifling

      Accurrencies Since my Arrivall here, I am
