     which the said Bradford Refusing he told him he did Impress Lib. X.

     him in his Majestys name nevertheless the said Bradford P 93

     would not let him a passage, that afterwards he went on Board

     the Owners Adventure whereof is Commander Captain

     Francis Harbin that he applyed himself to Iames Brock Mate

     of the said Ship who told him if he had Twenty Spare hands

     he would not let him have a Passage and that he deserved to

     be thrashed (altho the said Young shewed his Excellency the

     Governors warrant) and Captain Harbin told him that he did

     not know any Authority the Govr had to command men from

     on Board Ships and that he did not know whether the King

     could do so much

       Ordered that Iohn Young draw up his Deposition in writ

     ing and that an order issue to the Sheriff of Calvert County to

     apprehend the said Francis Harbin Ambrose Bradford &

     Iames Brock whom if found he is to bring before his Excllcy

     the Governor at the Port of Annapolis with all. Convenient

     speed

       In regard that several prisoners & ill affected persons will

     be brought to Town to the next Provincial Court Ordered that

     the Sheriff of Ann Arundell County provide a good Sufficient

     guard to secure them

       Most humbly sheweth to Yor Excy That your Petioners

     Affarres requires his Attendance Constantly att home and

     yor Petitioner is in great hopes of your Excys ffavour so far as

     that you would be pleased to Admit a Clark in your Petioners

     Stead And your petitioner dos humbly presume to acquaint

     Your ExcY that one Mr John Thompson (who hath been a

     Buretter in this County 17 Years and allways Counted an

     honest & Sencible pson in any business) will with Yor Exncys

     leave Act as Clerk of this County and reside aliways in Town

     untill Such time as Yor Excy shall be pleased to displace him

     upon any Acctt wtsoever.

       Your Petitioner therefore doth humbly desire Your Exncy

     would be pleased to Admitt sd Thompson (or whom Your

     Excy shall think fitt) Clk of Ann Arundell County in the Stead

     of Your Petitioner, And Your Petioner (as in Duty bound)
