Lib. X. the Council Book of this Government for which he finding him self charged with Fees & for Copys of the Proceedings of two Prizes more then in any other Government humbly prays some Consideration may be had in the Case whereby he may not be thought in any ways Culpable in running his Lordship to a needless Charge. Whereupon it being Considered by this Board that his p. 8 Lordship is one of the Lords of his Majestys most honoble Privy Council of whom all due regard being had therefore do think fit to order as it is hereby ordered that the Clerk of the Council for the reasons aforesaid take for the recording those Commissions but that the same be done ex officio And as for Copys of the Proceedings of those two prize Ships delivered Mr Robinson at his Request this Board do think that the Legal fees due for Writing the same ought to be paid and answered Upon a Letter produced and read at this Board from the reverend Mr Richard Tubman unto his Excellency sent & delivered wherein he gives an Account that since it hath pleased God this late visitation & Sickness happened in the Countrey the Romish Priests have made it their Business to go up & down & insinuate themselves into protestant houses perverting severall persons in their Extremity & weak condi tion to the Romish faith which is also affirmed by several Gentlemen of this Board their Constant practice tending to the great disturbance of his Majestys happy Government here Establisht & against the known laws of the Kingdom of England Ordered therefore that his Majestys Lawyers consult & advise what Course is most fit & proper to be taken to restrain such illegal enormous practices & make report accord ingly to this Board with all Convenient speed produced and read a Letter rec'd by Collo Robotham from Major Edward Dorsey containing several proposals in relation to building the Church & School at Annapolis wch was read 1st And the first that it be mentioned that the Inside Work of the Church as pews pulpit Reading Desk &Ca be Mentioned good plain work The which is agreed to 2d That the Terms representing Banisters round the eves or Roof be Signified of what wood & what Distance, and Thickness they must be of p. 9 Whereto it is agreed that the Terms be of light wood Inch thick & to stand Eighteen inches distant 3dly That Collums & plates running through may be if Possible admitted which is agreed to 4thly That such Timbers as shall be thought necessary for Binding the Church Walls just above the Stone work may be
