of an Attorney as formerly being lately dismissed by Order of Lib. X. his Excellency for some illegal practices by him Suspected to be done in his administration on Mr Abingtons Estate & the Law Suits thereon happening Jt is Ordered thereon that if said Cranford will give Satisfac tion to the Board that he never acted anything in that Con cern Contrary to the known practice of the Country his Motion would be considered. And the said James Cranford affirming to this Board that he never acted or did any thing through the whole Course of that Affair Contrary to the known & Common practice of this Province in Such like matters his Excellency pleased to tell him that in regard to the happy conclusion of the peace he is willing to extend to benefitt of all persons as possible he has thought fit with the advice of Majestys honble Council that he be restored & admitted to his Practise of an Attorney within all or any of the Courts of his Majestys Province as formerly & it is ordered accordingly

The Council again Sate & were Present His Excllcy Francis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genl Collo John Addison the honble Thomas Brooke & James Frisby Esqrs George Plater Esqr and Henry Denton made Oath to their Accots of the 1s 6d prhhd & 3d p Ton & Mr Samuel Watkins likewise made to two more lists of Shipping. Mrs Tripps Letters to his Excellency & Lawyers Opinion thereon is by order delivered to the honble Charles Huchins for his care the said Collo Huchins being present at the Coun cil Board as also the honble Collo Henry Jowles Collo Geo Robotham Thomas Tench Esq' who Just now Come & were added to the Board Thomas Robinson Esqr Come & made Oath upon the Holy Evangelist to a Certain Deposition by him Exhib itted to his Excellency the 13th day of July 1697 in Relation to the frivateers in Pennsylvania which was endorsed thereon the said Thomas Robinson Esqr humbly moves that whereas he was Empowred by the Right honourable the Lord Romney to act in his Behalf as Agent in the American Parts for all Prizes taken brought in & Condemned in any of his Majestys Courts Vice Admiralty in those parts & that in pursuance thereof he had produced Commissions and other powers given him in relation to that affair which were required to be entred In
