Coll: Henry Jowles Produced and Read a Letter brought by Express from Mr Edward Boothby of Baltemore County of yesterdays date concerning Severall Enormities and irregularities Committed by Indians in those parts—Ordered that an Answer to the Same be writt and to acquaint him that he give Notice to the parties that have made those Complaints or others that have any Complaints of that Nature to make, to be and Appear at Baltemore County Court the ffirst Tuesday of September next, hoping no mischief may happen betwixt and that time, where his Exncy intends (God willing) then to meet them, Signifying that Ordr is gone to the Militia Officers to keep p. 543 Some persons Scouting out among the ifrontier Plantacons; as also to the Rangers to keep Ranging betwixt their ffort and the sd ffrontier plantacons and to Call in Some times to Inform themselves how matters are. And that he be reminded about the Ordt sent to him concerning discoursing Governr Markham about the Delaware Indians to know what he has done therein. Ordered that the ffield Officers of Baltemore County do (upon [sight] hereof) take Care to have their Severall Troops and Company's all ways in a Readiness in Case of Insurreciton of Indians and that they keep some of the Militia under their Comand constantly Scouting out as ffarr as the ffrontier Plantacons (until furthr Order) to prevent any Mischief which may happen by Indians in those parts, Advice being this day Rëcd: of Some Insolencies by them lately Comitted to Some of the Inhabitants thereabouts and it is hereby further Ordered that if in Case they meet with any Indians of inso lent and Rude behavior or doing an unlawfull Act that they Seize and apprehend them and undr Safe and Secure Con duct Send them to his EXnCY the Governr at the Port of Annapolis to be dealt withall according to Law and that the sd ffield Officers meet his Exncy at Baltemore County Court House; the ffirst Tuesday of September next to Consult of Some things then and there to be done importing his Mats and the Countreys Service. Vpon Representation and Advice this day Recd concerning Some Insolencies lately Committed by Indians among the ifrontier Plantations in Baltemore County; Ordered that the
