154 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1696 / 7-98.
Lib. H. D. persons concern'd to make any Returns to Orders of Councill or other matters Enjoyn'd them, that they without faile make due Complyance therein and Consult the Laws of England and of this Province and fformer Orders sent that they may not faile in their Duty, which sd Severall Returns are to be Carefully transmitted unto his Exncy at the Port of Annapolis imediately after the End of the respective County Courts held in August next, under pain of prosecution His Exncy being Resolved to Excuse none for the fluture, omitting their Duty; but that they be proceeded against according to Law. Read the Proceedings of this Board taken the 24th of June last past which were well approved off. Produced an Accot of Some ffew things casually lost from among the Arms &Ca at the Port of Annapolis, Vizt One Carbine belt, three Cartouch box belts, One Pick Axe, One Mattock, One Steele Spade, three shovells, and one Carbine. Ordered that George Plater Esq his mats Receiver Send for those things a new to make up the loss, to be paid out of the Quarter part of the 1s p hhd by his Maty Appropriated for Arms &ca
An Accot of Vpon Inspection had into the Quarter part of part of the the Revenue and what Remains in the hands of Revenue now George Plater Esq his Mats Recr to be Appro priated for Arms, pursuant to his Mats Royall priated for Instructions. The Same was found to Amount to Arms &ca in all the Sume of Six hundred twenty two pounds,
Six shillings and one penny three ffarthings, which he is Order'd to apply accordingly for Arms &ca pursuant to the directions of Severall Orders of Councill already given him, if he has noe further Accot to bring against it. His Exncy is pleased to Say that there Remains in his hands of the 3d hhd: due to the Countrey and given by a certain Ordinance of Assembly, bearing date the 30th of September 1696: for and towards building a Church at Annapolis the Sume of three hundred Seaventy Six pounds and three half pence. His Exncy is pleas'd to Demand of the Board if they have any thing further for his Mats Service at prsent to Offer who say they have not.
