Subjects within this Province punctually to Observe and Lib. H. D. Obey the Severall directions and Orders in the Same Con tain'd requiring the Severall Sherriffs to make publication of the Same together with this Proclamation in all Churches Chappells and other publick places within their respective Counties whereunto all persons are to yeild due and Ready Obedience and Conform themselves accordingly at their Utmost perill; Given at the port of Annapolis under the Broad Seal of the Province this 10th day of June in the Ninth Year of his sd Mats Reign &ca Annoq Domini 1697. ffr: Nicholson God Save the King.
Capt Andrew Douglas Lre Read likewise a Letter by his Exncy reed: from to his Capt Andrew Douglass Comander of the Harwich abt his Signifying his Arrivall in Virga with Some other Arrivall &ca . • Ships, and that the time appointed for his Stay in those parts was limitted to 30 days Ordered that Copy of the sd Letter be Sent to the Severall Collrs &ca and Sherriffs to be made publick.
Ordr to the Collrs &c: not Ordered that noe Ships or Vessells whatsoever to clear any (now bound for Europe) be Clear'd by any of the Ships without Collrs or Navll Officers within this Province without giving security . to joyne the giving Security to goe downe to Point Comfort In Harwich. • . Virga to Joyne his Mats man of Warr Called the
Harwich and South Sea Castle there lately Arriv'd in Ordr to
Sayle with them for England and that the sd Collrs and Navll
Officer Conform themselves accordingly
Geo: Plater Deliver'd at the Board unto George Plater Esq Esq Rec. of a Lre from Esq Collr and Receiver of his Mats Customs in Petux Blathwayt abt ant District a Letter this day brought by Express the Revenue (amongst other Letters) from the Colony of Virga It is demanded of him if he indorsed by the Rt honrble Wm Blathwayt Esq did not for Auditr Gen” the Sd Mr Plater Signifying that the merly Receive purport thereof was in Relation to Remitting a Right State of the Revenue for England; he is &c.asked by his Exncy whether he did not formerly Receive Severall Orders and been often Call'd upon about those Accots and particularly again this Councill before the p. 515 Receipt of the Letter who does acknowledge he has, and that he has pursuant thereto Sent the Accot Home by his ffleet in the Method prescribed. Ordered tht he prepare Duplicates to be sent pursuant to an Ordr of this Board the 8th instant.
